The Senior Citizens Association, Sirhind, today organised a blood donation-cum-health check-up camp. The blood bank team from the civil hospital collected 60 units of blood in total.

Dr KD Singh, Senior Medical Officer (SMO) at the Fatehgarh Sahib civil hospital, meanwhile, presided over camp.

Addressing the gathering Shankar Sharma, PCS field officer of CM flying Squad, appreciated the efforts of the Senior Citizens Association. He added that everyone should come forward to donate blood so that the precious lives of the needy people can be saved. He said that every drop of blood saves a precious human life.

He further urged all non-governmental organisations to continue holding such camps.
