Brajesh Mittal re-elected CAT Bar Association president

Brajesh Mittal was today re-elected president, Central Administrative Tribunal Bar Association, for 2025-2026. The elections took place under the supervision of Election Committee headed by election commissioner Vinay Gupta and his team consisting of Aseem Rai, Komalpreet and Pankaj Khurana....

Brajesh Mittal was today re-elected president, Central Administrative Tribunal Bar Association, for 2025-2026. The elections took place under the supervision of Election Committee headed by election commissioner Vinay Gupta and his team consisting of Aseem Rai, Komalpreet and Pankaj Khurana.

Mittal bagged 18 votes and defeated Kuldeep Kumar Thakur and Karnail Singh. Jagdeep Singh Jaswal was re-elected vice-president. Kailash Bindu Sharma was elected secretary and Ishan Sharma treasurer.

Rishav Sharma and Rahul Verma were elected joint secretaries unopposed. Five senior executive members and five executive members were also elected.

Chauhan is district bar body president

Ashok Chauhan has been elected president of the District Bar Association, Chandigarh.

Chauhan defeated Sunil Toni and got elected to the post for fifth time. Chauhan got 991 votes while Toni bagged 884.

Advocate Poonam Thakur, Assistant Returning Officer, said Sandeep Gujjar had been elected vice-president and Amish Sharma secretary.

At the age of 28, Gujjar has become the youngest vice-president of the District Bar Association.

Ujwal Bhasin has been elected as treasurer.

For post of joint secretary, Pooja Diwan elected unopposed.
