Two persons have been booked on assault charge. Complainant Jai Karan of Hallo Majra alleged that Krishna, Gopi and others assaulted him and his friends Bablu and Shubham near an auto stand outside Elante Mall. The complainant and his friends sustained injuries and were admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32. A case has been registered at the Industrial Area police station.

2 held for ATM card swapping

Mohali: The police arrested two members of an inter-state gang involved in duping people through ATM card swapping. The police recovered Rs 3.85 lakh, 126 ATM cards, card swipe machines and a Haryana registration car from them. The suspects identified as Hansi resident Praveen, and Hisar resident Kuldeep, alias Monu, have been booked at the Kharar police station.

No driving test in Mohali on Oct 4

Mohali: The automated driving test track, Sector 82, SAS Nagar, Mohali, will remain closed on October 4 due to the scheduled maintenance of the track, said Regional Transport Officer Pardeep Singh Dhillon. However, the appointments and other services shall remain active on that day, he added.

3 snatchers in police net

Mohali: The police arrested three members of a gang of snatchers and recovered three earrings and a stolen motorcycle from them. The suspects were identified as Shahpur resident Satwinder Singh, and Kurali residents Gurinderpal Singh and Surinder Kumar.
