A 24-yerar-old BSc graduate has been arrested by the local police with 5.1 kg of charas.

According to the police, the suspect, Mukesh Kumar, alias Anku, a native of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh (HP), who was residing in Kharar, was nabbed from Sector 34 while carrying the charas on May 23.

The police said the suspect had done BSc in Tourism Hospitality and Hotel Management from Punjabi University, Patiala.

The police claimed that the charas recovered from the suspect was worth around Rs40 lakh. He was produced in a court and remanded in five-day police custody.

The police said raids would be conducted at the addresses of the suspect’s accomplices. — TNS
