Public prosecutor Hukum Singh argued that the prosecution proved the case against the accused .

On the other hand counsel of the accused argued that a false case has been registered against the accused.

After hearing of the arguments, the court said the accused had failed to explain possession of so many mobile phones. It is the duty of the accused to explain that he is the owner of these phones and in no manner it can be said a false case had been registered against him.

In these circumstances, the prosecution had fully proved that accused Soyab had snatched the mobile phone, the court said. In view of this, the accused held guilty and convicted under Section 379A of IPC and sentenced to undergo RI for five years. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict.
