Passengers of a private luxury bus had a miraculous escape when it hit a truck loaded with bricks near Daun Majra village on Kharar-Kurali national highway today around 10 am.

Several persons sustained minor injuries and were rushed to a local hospital for first-aid treatment.

Locals said the bus on the main road hit the truck from behind when it was joining the main road from the service lane. The front portion of the bus was badly damaged, while bricks scattered on the road after bus hit the truck in the middle. After the accident the door of the bus jammed, forcing the passengers to break open the window and bail out of the bus. The police said a complaint was received in the morning but later a compromise was stuck between the two parties.
