Her father lodged a complaint with the Phase I police station. The cab driver, however, continues to elude the police.

The police said the suspect was a middle-aged man and the vehicle number registered with the cab aggregator was traced to Barnala district. They are trying to identity the driver and the vehicle used in the incident.

Meanwhile, ASI Devinder Sandhu said, “A complaint has been received in this regard. The police have written to the cab aggregator, Uber, to provide the details of the car and the driver. Once we receive a reply from the company, further action will be taken.”
