Desh Bhagat University
Sub Lieutenant, Chamanpreet Kaur, Navy Wing Chief Training Officer (CTO) of the Desh Bhagat University, has been appointed as the Associate NCC Officer (ANO) of the NCC Unit 1PB Naval Unit, Naya Nangal. This achievement comes following her exemplary performance during the rigorous 75-day Pre-Commissioned Regular Course (PRCN) at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gwalior. Notably, she secured a silver medal in throwball competitions and others.
PGGC, Sector 11
The Literary Club of Postgraduate Government College, Sector 11, Vaktrita organised an exciting and intellectually stimulating quiz competition "QUIZDOM". The event aimed to promote literary awareness, critical thinking, and teamwork among students. Cadet Om Sood and Cadet Himanshu Mishra claimed first prize, while Naveen and Abhinav bagged second position. Mankunwar Singh Dhillon and Arin Gupta finished third.
Guru Gobind Singh College
Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, organised a seven -day NSS Special Camp on the theme "Youth for My Bharat and Youth for Digital Literacy." The camp focused on fostering holistic development, instilling a sense of responsibility and empowering students to contribute meaningfully to society. The camp was inaugurated by Dr Praveen Goyal, NSS Programme Coordinator, Panjab University.
PGGC, Sector 42
A professor of political science at Post Graduate Government College, Sector 42, and an expert of strategic affairs, Sudhir Hindwan, prepared a work on Human Nature in International Politics: A theory of Conflict Resolution in Making. Hindwan's work is inspired by Thomas Hobbes's Leviathan, Hans J Morgentheau's "Politics among Nations" and Bertrand Russell 's " Conquests of Happiness".
