Panjab University, in collaboration with the Punjab Arts Council and RUSA, is set to organise the Chandigarh Language Congress 2025 on April 3 and 4 at the Mulk Raj Anand Auditorium. Themed “Language, Literature, and Cultural Plurality,” the two days event marks the centenary of renowned writer Krishna Sobti and will bring together leading scholars, authors, and translators of English, Hindi, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Urdu, French, German & Persian languages to celebrate its rich linguistic and literary traditions.

Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Sector 36, welcomed Neena Sharma, Head, Department of English, Dean Admissions, Dean Languages, Institutional Coordinator, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) and Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the college, as its officiating principal. RC Jeevan, Governing Body Member of the college, Suman Mahajan, former officiating principal of the college, Members of college Advisory council, Staff representative to the Governing Body of the college, and senior members of non-teaching staff were present on the occasion.

Rayat Bahra University

A training camp for India Taekwondo Team Cadet Selection Trials for boys and girls aged between 12-14 has commenced at the Rayat Bahra University. At the conlcusion of the camp, the 20 shortlisted athletes will go on to participate in the Fujairah Open International Championship. The interanational tournament is scheduled to be organised at the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from May 10.
