Rashmi Kumari of the PSPB, former World Champion and 10-time national champion grabbed the top position in the first round matches of the champions league during the ongoing Indian Online Carrom Challenge.

Chandigarh’s Nidhi Gupta maintained second position with 40 points (6 2 6 5 5 3 8 5). Rashmi claimed 28 points (6 1 8 6 3 4 2 3 = 33 – 05 credit points for scoring a white slam in the 2nd board = 28) to claim the lead.

In the men’s category, Mohammed Sheikh of Karnataka exhibited a superb game to claim top position with three points (2 1 3 3 0 3 2 4 = 18 – 15 credit points for scoring one white slam in the second board and one Ultimate Slam in the 5th board).

In the champions league, all players will play another four rounds of eight boards each to reach the semi-final stage.
