Ceiling leaks, residents protest against builder

Residents of Metro Town Housing Society in Peer Muchalla today held a protest against the builder for allegedly using substandard construction material and deficiency in service in the housing society.

One of the society residents alleged that water started leaking from the ceiling of one of the rooms of his house on Saturday night.

A minor scuffle broke out between residents and employees of the builder this morning. Later, some of the staff members fled from the society office.

Eyewitnesses said the ceiling of one of the roofs started leaking from an under-construction terrace on the upper floor.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
