The Hind Mazdoor Sabha, a unit of the state council of Chandigarh, has demanded the implementation of Central pay scales for CITCO employees. In a letter to CITCO Managing Director Kashmir Chand, Sabha vice-president stated that the Chandigarh Administration had adopted Central pay scales in all its departments, boards and corporations, except CITCO. Despite CITCO generating net profit for the past 25 years, its staff has not been granted the Central pay scales, which is their legitimate right, it added.

He emphasised that the delay in implementing the Central pay scales would negatively impact the morale of the employees. He urged the MD to take up the matter in the next board meeting.
