Centre, state govts following path shown by Maharaja Agrasen: Haryana CM Nayab Saini

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today attended state-level Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti celebrations as chief guest. The event was organised under the Sant Mahapurush Samman evam Vichar-Prasar Yojana.

Speaking on the occasion, Saini said both the Centre and the State Governments were working on the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” by following the inclusive path laid down by Maharaja Agrasen. He recalled how Maharaja Agrasen extended support to every new settler in his kingdom by offering a brick and a gold coin, adding, “The government is adopting this vision to ensure that every citizen becomes self-reliant through its welfare schemes.”

Extending greetings on the occasion of Sharadiya Navratras, Saini paid tribute to Maharaja Agrasen and lauded the glorious contribution of the Agarwal community to the nation. He highlighted the state’s initiatives to promote trade and industry, including the formation of the Haryana Vyapari Kalyan Board, naming of Hisar Airport after Maharaja Agrasen, introduction of e-refund, e-registration, and the implementation of e-way bill system to facilitate inter-state movement of goods.

He also underlined reforms such as the Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapari Maan Dhan Yojana for providing pensions to small traders, establishment of GST facilitation cells for MSMEs in Gurugram and Panchkula, and creation of an ecosystem for ease of doing business in Haryana. He called upon the Agarwal community to continue contributing to the state’s development while preserving their proud traditions.

Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goel, who was also present, praised the Chief Minister’s leadership, noting that the state government is treading on the principles of both Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Maharaja Agrasen.

The event witnessed participation from several ministers, legislators, former office bearers, senior officials, and prominent members of the Agarwal community from across the state

Offers prayers at Mansa Devi to mark first Navratra

Saini along with his wife Suman Saini also offered prayers at Mata Mansa Devi temple on the first day of the Ashwin Navratras on Monday. The Chief Minister performed rituals and sought blessings of the deity for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state.

Later, the CM proceeded to the Yagyashala within the temple premises, where he took part in the Havan Yajna and offered oblations.

On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Nisha Yadav, presented a portrait of the goddess to the Chief Minister as a gesture of respect.

Others present included Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma, Shrine Board Secretary Sharda Prajapati, District President Ajay Mittal, BJP State Vice-President Banto Kataria, Chairman of Kalka Municipal Council Krishan Lamba, Chief Minister’s Media Secretary Praveen Atre and other dignitaries.
