Matches of the ongoing Chandigarh Golf League (CGL) were abandoned due to inclement weather today. With heavy rain lashing the city, teams were forced to split seven points on offer in their match.

The washout means the leader board is tighter now. The Group A remained unaffected as there were no matches today for seven teams. Group B is set to see an intense battle for points as three teams — Punjab Aces, Cee Dee The Mulligans and Moksha Royals — will be fighting for two spots. The three teams are within one point of each other.

Cee Dee The Mulligans would have fancied their chances against the struggling Golf Masters today. Unfortunately their plans were foiled. Now, they have two tough matches ahead of them including a virtual shootout against the Punjab Aces.

Group C is even tighter as five teams are now within two-and-a-half points of each other and three spots up for grabs. Fairway Comets lead the chasing pack, one place below Hunting Hawks, as Jubilee Chandigarh Gladiators and Green Gators are pushing to get in the mix.
