Deputy Commissioner Mahavir Kaushik, while presiding over a meeting of the incident commanders, directed them to visit public places, especially crowded places like markets, bus stands, hospitals and government offices and ensure that masks are being used and social distancing followed. He said a person found without a mask should be challaned and also motivated to wear a mask.

Kaushik directed all incident commanders to submit a daily report of the challans issued by them.

While taking stock of Covid care centers in the district, he ordered setting up of such centers at Government College, Kalka, and Government Girls College, Sector 14, at the earliest. —
