A 73-year-old man who had tested COVID-19 positive yesterday, died at GMCH-32 on Wednesday taking the death toll in the city to 41.

A resident of Ramdarbar, he was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, acute kidney injury and respiratory failure with septic shock.

A total of 167 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the city on Wednesday taking the total tally to 3,376.

Of the 3,376 cases, 1,537 are active cases while 1,796 patients have been cured till date.

As many as 83 patients were discharged after recovery from the virus on Wednesday.
