The Chandigarh Administration has given a clarion call for setting up mini Covid centres in the city voluntarily by the interested organisations or associations.

A total of seven mini Covid centres have been set-up in different parts of the city and all of them have become functional.

Each of the Covid centre is having 80 per cent or more of the capacity as oxygenated beds.

The mini Covid Care Centre at Sector 8B and at Sector 43 were inaugurated by Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator VP Singh Badnore on May 20.

The last centre at Sector 34 was inaugurated on May 21 Manoj Parida, Advisor to the Administrator.

The present occupancy of the Mini Covid Care Centres is more than 50 per cent.

All the facilities like medicine, nutritious food, recreation and yoga etc are being provided by the trained doctors and support staff, free of charges.
