In view of the Independence Day function at the Parade Ground in Sector 17 here, restrictions/diversions have been imposed on the movement of traffic for August 15.

The roads around Parade Ground shall remain closed from 6.30 am onwards till the time the function comes to an end. Attendees must carry a photo ID card in original. No general parking shall be allowed in the parking area in front of shops in the Sector 22-A market from 6.30 am onwards.

All attendees are requested not to bring any objectionable articles such as bag, match box, knife, cigarette, weapon, liquor, inflammable items, electronic devices, black flag, banners/posters, etc.

Traffic advisory for ‘At Home’ function

Movement on the road stretch in front of Punjab Raj Bhawan from roundabout of Sector 5/6/7/8 till T-Point of Vigyan Path and Sukhna Path near the Chandigarh Golf Club shall remain closed to the general public, except emergency vehicles from 3 pm onwards until the function gets over. Movement on the road stretch from Gurdwara Gursagar Sahib turn on Uttar Marg till the Sectors 5/6/7/8 chowk on Vigyan Path shall remain closed to the general public from 2.30 pm onwards.
