Chandigarh administration launches e-permit for medical oxygen

Chandigarh Administration said on Friday that it was launching an online e-permit system to help COVID-19 patients access medical oxygen at home.

The administration said on Friday those who need oxygen cylinders could file an application for e-permits with a doctor’s prescription and proof of address. The application could be submitted to Chandigarh administration’s website chandigarh.gov.in/health_covid19.htm 

Once the application is approved, the applicant will get an intimation.  The approval will be valid for two days.

The e-permit could be downloaded from the website, but a hardcopy isn’t essential and oxygen cylinders could be acquired on the basis of the approved application number.

Charges

With an empty cylinder:

Refilling charges: Rs 295 plus 12% GST for each ‘D’ Cylinder

Without an empty cylinder:

Refilling charges: Rs. 295, plus 12% GST, for each ‘D’ Cylinder

Security deposit: Rs. 25,000 for each empty cylinder which will be refunded after deduction of rent  Rs. 100 a per day
