The UT Administration has stepped up its effort to resolve several long-pending policy decisions with the Centre.

The issues pertain to recruitment rules, creation of posts in different UT departments, allowing conversion of leasehold properties to freehold for commercial and industrial plots.

“On Thursday, the Adviser met the officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Issues like creation of posts in the Police Department and allowing conversion of lease hold to free hold for commercial and industrial properties were taken up,” said a senior UT official.
