Chandigarh: Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday. The Governor, however, is not showing any serious symptoms and is recuperating at his official residence. The Administrator has requested all those who have come in contact with him recently to isolate and get themselves tested. TNS

Cleanliness drive held

Panchkula: Under a cleanliness fortnight of the Municipal Corporation, a drive was organised in Ward No. 9 and 10 on Friday. It was led by Nodal Officer Vikas Kaushik. Local councillors Rajesh Nishad and Gurmel Kaur were also present. Saplings were planted in the area.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
