Batting first, Chandigarh posted 192/7 in 50 overs. Openers Deepti Walia and Jasmeet Baidwan had a 63-run stand. Deepti contributed 41 off 67 balls, with five boundaries, while Jasmeet added 22 off 52 balls, one boundary. In reply, Assam batters scored 126 before getting bundled out in 29 overs. Chandigarhwill play second match against Maharashtra on January 6.
