Chandigarh blast: Police search area for clues

A day after an explosive device was thrown at a house in Sector 10, a team from Chandigarh Police, along with CFSL experts, arrived at the scene to investigate.

The teams conducted a search for explosives in and around the property.

In the meantime, the police have traced the route of an auto-rickshaw involved in the incident. Sources revealed that the two suspects, who are currently on the run, had hired the vehicle from ISBT Sector 43.

The auto driver who was arrested yesterday is being interrogated.

Additionally, the police have had the bushes in the park opposite the house trimmed as a precautionary security measure.

A low-intensity explosion occurred at a house in the upscale Sector 10 area on Wednesday evening with its owner claiming that two persons in an auto-rickshaw had hurled a grenade.

There was no casualty but some windows and pots kept in the garden were damaged in the incident.
