The 35th Chandigarh State Chess Championship started today at Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Sector 27.

After the first round, Swadhrit Seth, Vedant Garg, Swastik Singhal, Atharv Singh Negi, Abhinav Bansal, Taroosh Singal, Sidharth Bhargav, Amittej Kalia, Jayant Verma, Amogh Agrawal, Ayaan Garg, Ekaaksha Partap Singh Negi, Vivaan Mittal, Shashank Seshan, Pratyush Singh, Aayra Singh, Prabhav Atwal and Kamya Kumari scored one point each.

Jayant Atwal, Dishant Bansal, Ayush Mani, Samaira Taneja, Tejas Rai Aggarwal, Akshun Punchhi, Anuj Bhatt, Rohiin Singal, Birwaan Udeg Singh, Chaitanya Bansal, Chetanya Sharma, Ekambir Singh Malvai, Hitvi Sikka, Hridhaan Sikka, Japatjeet Singh Kahlon, Parth Verma and Shiven Grover ended at zero point. A total of 35 players are participating in the championship, which is being conducted by the Chandigarh Chess Association.
