Local fencers bagged a rich haul of medals in the recently concluded Junior National Fencing Championship at Sonepat. Inderpartap Singh Hayer bagged a silver medal in the epee event and Kusum won a bronze medal in the foil event. The team of Kaashvi Garg, Sangeeta, Siya Monga and Sanchi claimed bronze medal in the team’s epee event.

Hayer and Kusum were also selected to represent India in the upcoming junior championship. Sandeep Passi, president of the Chandigarh Fencing Association, congratulated the winners.
