Chandigarh girls registered a six-wicket win over Assam during the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy Elite Group at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

Winning the toss, Chandigarh skipper Nandani Sharma opted to field. The local bowlers restricted Assam at 100/8 in 20 overs. Aaradhana D Bisht claimed 2/13 for the bowling side. She was supported by Kumari Shibi (2/24), Nandani Sharma (2/18) and Monika Bishnoi (2/23). For Assam, Khushi Sharma (26) and skipper Rashmi Dey (25) remained the top scorers.

In reply, Chandigarh lost three early wickets at the score of 19 but the innings was steadied by Aaradhana, who posted 41 off 43 balls, including three fours and a six. Shivangi provided support with an unbeaten 24 off 21 balls, as Chandigarh achieved the target in 19.4 overs to finish at 106/4.
