The Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA) elected its new executive during the annual general meeting.

The returning officer, Praneet Bhardwaj, IAS (retd) in the presence of Narayan Shashi, an observer of the UT Administration, briefed the general body about the election process, which had started with the appointment of returning officer on March 11, declaration of election and publication of electoral college on March 12, receipt of nomination by March 14 and withdrawal by March 24.

He further intimated the house that after withdrawal of nominations, 14 candidates remained for the 14 posts of the executive committee. He accordingly declared all 14 elected to the executive committee and the declaration of result was signed by both returning officer and the observer in the presence of the general body of the CGA. The notification of the election result has been displayed at prominent places on the CGA premises.
