Local golfer Gairat Kaur Kahlon has qualified for the Drive, Chip and Putt National Final Tournament to be held at the Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta (USA)—the venue for PGA Masters.

In the qualifying stage, Gairat outsmarted her competitors at the third and final leg of the drive chip and putt regional event at Golf Club of Tennessee PGA (USA).

Gairat is the first Indian sub-junior contestant invited to the Augusta National Golf Club.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
