Mili Gunjiyal (13) of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector 31-D, here won gold ( 44kg category) in 53 KVS National Sports Meet. The Class IX student has been the national gold medalist of KVS for the past three years in the same weight category. Mili trains under Coach Vivek Thakur at Sports Complex, Sector 34.

Four local judo players, who recently participated in World Judo Championship and Asian Judo Championship, were felicitated recently.

Judoka Ishroop Narang of MCMDAV College won a bronze medal for India in the Asian Judo Championship 2024-25 in Republic of Korea; Navroop of MCM DAV College participated in Asian Judo meet; Saiyam Choudhary of Sishu Niketan School, Sector 22; and Angel Yadav of GMSSS, Sector 23, participated in World Judo Championship held in Peru.
