Harsh Gupta, a resident of Sector 44, has cleared the National Defence Academy / Naval Academy (NDA/NA) examination and has been commissioned in the Indian Navy, with his posting at Visakhapatnam.

He began his academic journey at the Sainik School, Kunjpura in Karnal. After four years of training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala (Kerala), Harsh recently passed out with distinction.

His leadership qualities and overall excellence were recognised as he commanded the passing out parade.

Gupta was also awarded the Chief of Naval Staff Medal for his outstanding all-round performance at the academy.

His father, Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, serves as an Assistant Audit Officer in the Punjab Principal Accountant General (Audit) office in Chandigarh and his mother, Monika Gupta, is a homemaker, while his grandfather is an ex-serviceman of the Indian Army, whose legacy he wants to take forward.
