The UT today recorded 81 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the tally to 1,751. Of these, 700 are active cases. As many as 1,023 patients have been discharged after recovery.

The UT has reported 26 deaths so far. Eight patients were discharged after recovery today. A total of 19,141 people have been tested so far.

A 34-year-old man from Sector 21 allegedly committed suicide at his home by hanging himself on Monday. He tested positive for Covid posthumously. The case has not been counted in the UT tally.

New cases were reported from Sector 32, 29, 43, 20, 47, 15, 45, 44, 49, 5, 35, 30, 21, 20,19, 16, 28, 15, 37, 7, 27, 43, 12, 10, Burail, Daddu Majra, Hallo Majra, Ramdarbar, PGI, Mani Majra, Mauli Jagran and Dhanas.
