Chandigarh suffered a 52-run defeat against Goa in their second league match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Elite Group played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

After winning the toss and opting to field, the Chandigarh bowlers faced a strong challenge as Goa posted a competitive 173/6 in 20 overs. Lalit Yadav proved to be the standout performer for Goa with 82 off 49 balls. Deepraj Gaonkar also scored 28. For Chandigarh, Sandeep Sharma and Jagjit Singh Sandhu picked two wickets each.

In reply, Chandigarh slipped to 10/4. Later, Raj Angad Bawa (29) and Jagjit Singh Sandhu (20) tried their best, but failed. Koshik V (3/12), Arjun Tendulkar (3/17) and Darshan Misal (3/23) claimed wickets as Chandigarh posted 121 in 19 overs.
