Chandigarh, August 17

Covid-19 warriors were honoured at the Municipal Corporation office here today.

Mayor Raj Bala Malik and Commissioner KK Yadav distributed the commendation certificates to officers and officials of the UT Administration and the corporation.

Among the awardees, who worked to provide essential services to the citizens during the Covid-19pandemic, were Najuk Kumar, SDM, Anil Kumar Garg, Additional Commissioner, officer Rakesh Popli, Jarnail Singh from market committee, Sanjay Arora, SE (B&R), Ravinder Sharma, executive engineer, Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Dr Amrit Warring, Social Development Officer Vivek Trivedi, enforcement wing inspector Sunil Dutt and others.

Their names were announced on the occasion of Independence Day. Due to strict restrictions, the Administration avoided to call all awardees for the function and handed over their commendation certificates to the HODs concerned.
