In a step towards sustainability, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) is set to install five ‘Bench of Dreams’ made from recycled plastic at public spaces as part of the ‘Swachhata hi Seva’ campaign.

Joint Commissioner Gurinder Singh Sodhi launched the initiative today. The benches were donated by K Ganesh, Director of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs at Bisleri, through their CSR programme.

MC chief Vinay Pratap Singh said by transforming discarded plastic into functional public amenities, the initiative underscored the MC’s dedication to building a sustainable community. He added that these benches would soon be installed in parks.
