The Residents Welfare Association, Modern Housing Complex, Sector 13, re-elected Colonel Gursewak Singh (retd) its president for the fourth consecutive term of three years. Initially, there were four candidates in a fray. Two candidates, Naveen Vij and Nagesh Tara, withdrew their nominee. The final contest was between Colonel Gursewak Singh, who got over 160 hands in his favour, while his rival Rakesh Verma could get support of only eight members.

In accordance with the bylaws of the RWA, the president selected his core team comprising SA Qureshi as general secretary, and SK Gautam as finance secretary. The core committee then nominated Mandeep Kaur, Paramjit Thakur, Sham Singh, and Gyaninder Koul as secretaries and Dr Ashwani, Natasha Wangoo and Joginder Thapar as joint secretaries.
