City private schools have started rolling out the schedule for nursery admission for the session 2021-2021 while the UT Education Department is yet to finalise the same.

Key dates

Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26

  • Seats: 160
  • EWS seats: 40
  • Age: Child born between 1 April, 2015, and 31 March, 2016

    Entry level: KG

  • Draw of lots: Jan 21 & 22

St Anne’s School, Sector 32 (Minority status)

  • Seats: 200

  • Age: Child born between 1st April, 2016, and 31st March 2017

  • Entry level: LKG

  • Draw of lots: Jan 22

St John High School, Sector 26 (minority)

  • Seats: 160

  • Age: Only boys born between 01st April, 2015, and 31st March 2016

  • Entry level: UKG

  • Draw of lots: Jan 22

St Xavier’s School, Sector 44

  • Seats: First-come-first-served basis

  • Age: 2 and a half years

  • Entry level: Pre-nursery

According to the tentative schedule, the issue and receipt of admission forms will be available from school websites from December 3 onwards and continue till December 16. The list of eligible candidates shall be displayed by January 15 and the finalisation of selected candidates and waiting list will be done by February 1.

The admission form will be free of cost and Rs 100 will be charged as registration fee.

The emphasis this year would be on carrying out the admission process through online mode as much as possible. Atul Khanna, Director of Strawberry Fields High School, said: “We will encourage online submission of forms but those who are willing to come to school may do so. We will ensure all Covid protocols are followed when parents come to deposit their forms.”
