Chandigarh records 660 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday

Chandigarh, May 15

Chandigarh on Saturday recorded 660 fresh cases of Covid-19 while eight more people succumbed to the infection and 963 recoveries were reported.

The active cases in the city now stand at 7,847.

The total number of cases in Chandigarh has reached 54,703 while the death toll is 625.

As many as 46,231 people have recovered from the virus in the city so far.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
