Chandigarh reports 10 deaths and 635 Covid cases

Chandigarh, May 16

Chandigarh on Sunday reported 10 deaths and 664 Covid-19 cases, taking the Union Territory’s total death count to 635.

The city’s coronavirus count stands at 55,367. About 857 patients have recovered from the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.

The figure includes six deaths of Covid positive cases due to other reasons. 7,644 cases remain active.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
