Chandigarh reports 2 new cases of Covid-19

Chandigarh on Sunday reported two new cases of Covid-19 taking the total number of cases to 65,121.

The death toll in the city remains 814.

A positivity rate of 0.10 per cent was recorded as 2,020 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

The number of active cases is 40 as a total of five patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per Ministry of Health guidelines.

As many as 64,267 people have recovered from the virus.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
