Chandigarh reports 224 new Covid cases, 8 deaths

Chandigarh reported 224 new Covid-19 cases and eight more deaths in the last 24 hours, a health bulletin from the UT administration said on Wednesday.

The union territory’s active cases now stand at 3,573. Some 2,800 tests were conducted over the last 24 hours, the bulletin said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
