Chandigarh reports 245 fresh cases of Covid-19; 7 deaths

Chandigarh on Monday reported 245 fresh cases of Covid-19 taking the total number of active cases in the city to 4,428.

There were seven deaths of Covid-19 positive patients in the last 24 hours.

The total number of cases in Chandigarh is 58,734 while the death toll is 709.

A total of 684 patients have been discharged including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per the Health Ministry guidelines.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
