Chandigarh: The city on Tuesday reported 29 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the overall tally to 21,293. The city also witnessed one Covid-19 death. A 75-year-old man from Sector 24, a case of peritonitis and perforation with multi-organ dysfunction, died at the PGI. A total of 24 more patients recovered from the disease. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
