Chandigarh, July 30

Chandigarh reports 38 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking the Union Territory’s toll to 1016.

The city’s death toll stands at 14.

Over 13,000 people have tested for the deadly disease in the city. Now, Chandigarh has 355 active cases.

About 12,000 have tested negative for coronavirus.

Tests of 63 infections are still awaited.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
