Chandigarh on Thursday reported 57 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the tally in the Union Territory to 1,327. 

The new cases included three one-year-old boys.

The cases surfaced in many areas, including Sector 40, 41, 52, 22, Ramdarbar, Dhanas, Burail, Manimajra and Bapu Dham colony.

A total of 777 people have been cured, while the death toll stands at 20.

A total of 16,958 samples have been taken for testing and of them, 14,623 tested negative while reports in 81 cases are awaited, it said. There are 539 active cases in the Union Territory.
