Chandigarh reports 620 new Covid cases, six deaths

Chandigarh, May 17

Chandigarh reported 620 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, the union territory’s health bulletin showed.

The UT also reported six deaths, taking its total fatality count since the pandemic began last year to 641.

The UT has 7,382 active cases.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
