Chandigarh reports 776 new COVID cases, 14 deaths

Chandigarh reported 776 new COVID-19 cases and 14 more deaths, a health bulletin from the administration showed on Wednesday.

This takes the number of active cases in the union territory to 8,528.

Some 859 people were released from hospitals and home isolation, the bulletin said.

The screenshot below gives the status of beds in hospitals and COVID facilities around the union territory.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
