Chandigarh reports 8 new Covid-19 cases

Eight new Covid-19 cases took Chandigarh’s active case tally to 100, a health bulletin from Chandigarh administration said.

No new deaths were added to Chandigarh’s fatality count, which stands at 809. Chandigarh’s positivity rate over the last week stands at 0.55 per cent.

Meanwhile, a total of 7,09,180 people over 18 have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine in the union territory, the bulletin showed. Of this number, 1,15,481 are fully vaccinated.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
