Chandigarh reports 88 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths; lowest in two months

Chandigarh, June 4

Chandigarh reported 88 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours, a bulletin from the health department showed on Friday—the lowest the union territory has logged in over two months.

Single-day recoveries recorded meanwhile stood at 215.

Chandigarh’s active cases now stand at 1,005. The bulletin showed 2,602 tests were conducted over 24 hours.

Chandigarh’s death toll now stands at 765.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
