Chandigarh reported five new Covid-19 cases over the last 24 hours, a health bulletin from the union territory’s administration said on Tuesday.

Chandigarh now has 34 active cases, with an average positivity rate of 0.24 per cent over the last seven days.

The UT’s fatality count stands at 811. Chandigarh reported four recoveries over the last 24 hours, the bulletin showed.

Meanwhile, 7,29,822 people over 18 have been given at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in the UT. Of that number, 2,03,071 are fully vaccinated.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
