The city now has 3,625 active COVID-19 cases—a 124 per cent rise since the beginning of the month.

The city reported three new COVID-19 deaths, taking the fatality count up to 413.

The union territory has been seeing a steep rise in cases since March, prompting the Chandigarh Administration to announce new measures—first nighttime restrictions and then a weekend lockdown—in an attempt to slow the spread.  March saw the union territory record a 765 per cent rise in infections.
